There is a new name and face in the Hill Country medical community. Coleen M. Madigan-Grillo, M.D., F.A.C.P., is extending her practice in Internal Medicine and Rheumatological Disease to the Lake Area Specialty Clinic in Horseshoe Bay. According to Kevin Leeper, LMHS CEO, "Dr. Madigan is a welcome addition to our list of specialists serving the region."  

Dr. Madigan was born in Houston, Texas. She received a B.S. in Biology at the University of Houston and earned her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas and is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Much of Dr. Madigan’s career has been spent teaching in the Department of Family Practice of University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio based at the Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial, Family Practice Residency Program at Corpus Christi, Texas. She is currently in private practice and will bring her expertise to the Lake Area Specialty Clinic and LMHS Sleep Center Fridays beginning in May.
