Llano Memorial Healthcare System is proud to announce that Ryan Morris, DO, has joined the staff at the Kingsland Hoerster Clinic. According to Kevin Leeper, LMHS CEO, "Dr. Morris, whose specialty is Family Practice is a welcome addition to our Kingsland Clinic. He has obstetric privileges at Llano Memorial Hospital and provides coverage in our Emergency Department as well. During his first month of practice here, Dr. Morris delivered thirteen babies."

A native Texan, Dr. Morris was born and raised in Pampa..  He developed his interest in medicine while in high school and decided on Family Medicine while in college.  After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, he earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Morris completed both his internship and residency at John PeterSmith Hospital in Fort Worth. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Texas Osteopathic Medical Association.

His first experience with our community came late last year when he completed a clinical rotation with the health system. Kevin Leeper noted, "We work with at least three residency programs for clinical rotations, and the JPS Family Practice program in Fort Worth is one of those programs. That type of relationship has proven to be a successful recruiting tool." 

According to Dr. Morris he chose to practice in our area because of his strong interest in rural medicine and the opportunity to have a full scope of practice including OB and endoscopy. He states he and his wife Valerie "enjoy living in Llano with their two year old son, Carter and his newborn brother, Cannon."
