Llano Memorial Hospital had an informal volunteer organization that was active in the 1980’s.  In 1991, the group with the assistance of former Administrator, Diane Gage, incorporated and joined the Texas Association of Hospital Auxiliaries.  The LMHS Auxiliary has been a member of the state organization and has played an important role for the healthcare system ever since.

There are opportunities to volunteer not only at the hospital but at the clinics as well and our auxilians help in so many ways – greeting visitors, delivering mail to patient as well as flowers, reading to patients, assembling charts and providing administrative support.

The LMHS Auxiliary has three types of memberships:
Active (Dues $10)
Inactive (Dues $25)
Life (Dues $100)

Membership requirements are fairly minimal, most important is the “desire to be of service”.   For more information about becoming a member of the LMHS Auxiliary, contact Mary Rhodes, LMHS Auxiliary Liaison at 325 247-7824.
