Llano Memorial Healthcare System is owned and operated by Llano County Hospital Authority,  a non-taxing political subdivision of the State of Texas.  Llano County Hospital Authority was created by the Llano County Commissioners' Court in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 264 of the Texas Health and Safety Code on January 12, 1998.

Llano County Hospital Authority is governed by a Board of Directors  consisting of ten members who are appointed to service on the Board by the Commissioners' Court of Llano County.
