Our forefathers realized in 1957 Llano County's need for a hospital. Hence we were "born." Like a child we have been growing ever since. Because of huge expansions in the last few years we are in the "June is busting out all over" stage.
Until June 1998 we were owned by Llano County and governed by ten Board of Managers, appointed by the Commissioner Court.
Effective, June 1, 1998, we were "reborn" as the Llano County Hospital Authority (LCHA), a non-taxing entity, and appointed the initial nine member Board of Directors. The existing Board of Managers became the LHCA Board of Directors, less one member, from the County owned Board of Managers.
Officially, Llano County Hospital Authority will be doing business as Llano Memorial Healthcare System, Llano Memorial Hospital and Hoerster Clinics. Ernie Parisi, CEO/Administrator states, "We offer a full range of services. This will allow us to continue our growth and remain a strong facility financially. Patients can expect the same great service, while we improve our ability to provide many new services that will benefit them".
